Hey Guys!

Im a Musician and i want do do a live-setup with a mac Mini for Guitar Rig (Guitar Sound software)
I dont wanna bring a TFT Monitor to the gig, so my Question:
Can I controll the mac Mini WITHOUT a monitor attached just with my Ipad / iphone? Suggestions for the best software?
What can go wrong?
I just don't wanna be left without a working rig, just because i cant controll the mini.

Thanks for your answers!!!

You can and I do, but I would have a display with you for emergencies.

Any Apple Remote Desktop client will work.
VNC Viewer is just one example.

I use iTeleport to control my headless mini with my iPad. I also use the baked in OS X screen sharing on my MBP. I've had the mini for over 3 years and it's never been connected to a keyboard or monitor. It works extremely well for me.

All the above advice is solid, especially turning on VNC in System Preferences > Sharing > Screen Sharing > Computer Settings > Check the "VNC Viewers..." box.

Note that you'll need a Wifi network between your Mac mini and iOS device. I suggest carrying an Airport Express along as well, with WPA2 encryption turned on (don't just rely on ad-hoc networking). The router won't need internet access wired to it... you're just going to be using the wireless LAN side.

I second the need for an emergency screen. There is a likely problem with Black Screen on VNC with Mac hardware (no one knows why) - i.e. you can't see anything on the remote unit. Sometimes moving the cursor on the controlling unit clears the problem, sometimes not. I had the idea of controlling a Mini headless using VNC - gave up in the end and went with a own build Win7 PC (not a problem).

Depending on your needs you might even get away with auto login and autostarting the apps you need.
