iPhone Is it even possible? Original IOS Wallpaper in Retina iPhone 5?

I'd love to locate or have made the original iPhone2G wallpaper/dock that was available back in July, 2007, for the iPhone5!

Perhaps it simply isn't possible though as the dock may be difficult.

Worth a shot asking though.

Super bonus prize if anyone knows of a jailbreak theme that replicates the original IOS for the new iPhone.
 
It would actually be pretty simple to create a skin for Dreamboard with the functionality of the old iPhone OS. (better than Winterboard because Dreamboard replaces Springboard entirely, so you can have pretty nice functionality in it). I'll see if I can do something when I get an iPhone (stuck with an AT&T feature phone right now).

If you use a Mac, I made a retro Leopard-style theme you may want to check out.

I'm not sure how iOS 7 will affect the matter, or if it will break compatibility entirely for all jailbreak tweaks such that everything will have to be rewritten. I hope that isn't the case.

A screenshot was released of Activator and some other tweaks running on an iOS 7 beta recently, so there is a possibility that many tweaks still work.

Even then, it's probable that WinterBoard will need to be rewritten. Dreamboard may not, as it replaces Springboard only, and doesn't modify any files that may have broken apps in iOS 7. A jailbreak is out, but we will have to wait until iOS 7 is officially released for it to come out.

Terrific information, thanks for sharing it.

Through many, many moments of thinking and tweaks, I've come up with a near perfect iPhone4 with iOS1 theme (even including the dialer).
And yes, the YouTube app works!
I'd love to duplicate all of this with the iPhone5 but am at a standstill as many of the tweaks simply won't work with the larger/taller screen.

There is something about the simplicity of the early iOS that is attractive to me and having it on the much faster, stealthier iP5 would be cool.

Wow. It's incredible. This would look fantastic on a graphite iPhone 5S, especially with the throwback color scheme.

It's ironic that you thought of a throwback theme just now, because I was planning to do something similar when iOS 7 was to come out. Great job, it seems like I won't need to do any extra work. :)

The only thing I would remove is the reflection on the bottom row of icons. If that's removed, this is an absolutely gorgeous theme that's incredibly accurate.

Any chances you're going to publish this?
 
The credit goes to others with much more knowledge and abilities than me.
I simply combined various tweaks/themes into this one.

There are flaws, such as you pointed out with the reflective dock icons.
Also, look carefully: that isn't the original iOS1 map ICON.
(I plan on fixes for the future.)

Good call on the graphite iP5S shell. That would look fantastic.
In the meantime, I have on order this aluminum sticker for the reverse of my iP4:

Had some time to work on this today.
I need to somehow fix the LTE icon to EDGE.

Getting there though!
The iP5 has proven to be difficult for these modifications.

Found a method that allows me to add the original Google maps icon back to 6.1.3 (and it opens the original maps too).

I know it is such a tiny change between the new maps icon, but every little tweak that gets me closer to the original iOS is a step in the right direction.

(Just need to get the 3G icon to read, EDGE. For now I simply don't have it showing up at all.)

Any updates?? I'd love to have this on iOS 7, now that there's finally a "Space Grey" (i.e. graphite) iPhone 5S out. How's the progress? :apple:
