Could we have it all wrong?
We've all been speculating that both of Apple's two new iPhones are going to be announced September 10th, for the US. But, Apple has a second event in China September 11th. Could it be that the iPhone 5C is simply a new phone that fits the needs of China best?
I hear China has become the biggest cell phone market. And, Apple has been rumored to be in talks with China's biggest cell carrier.
So, I could have it all wrong. What if next Tuesday Apple talks about the new iPhone 5S, "brighten your day" has to do with new iOS 7 design coming with the 5S, enhanced security with fingerprint sensor, AirDrop, etc., but never mentions the 5C? Then, Wednesday, in China, Apple introduces the new iPhone 5C, C for China, C for Colors, iOS 7 capable device? If this is the case, then I'm all wet.
Right now, is this:
•iPhone 5 (only LTE model) 16/32/64GB (flagship price $199/299/399 on contract)
•iPhone 4S (no LTE) 16GB (middle of the road price $99 on contract)
•iPhone 4 (no LTE, no siri) 8GB (entry level price $0 on contract)

So, these are my two ideas, what if?:
1) (This was my first idea.) Apple's goal is to eliminate 30-pin connector phones this year, and change the entry level phone to one that suits a global market better, and runs all iOS 7 features (iOS 7 for 4/4S are missing AirDrop for starters)?:
Before I get into things, let me remind everyone, that Apple is always slower to adopt new tech. I don't know why so many think Apple can't make an entry level phone without LTE, when, first off, AT&T says they will abandon EDGE by Jan 1 2017, and certainly don't have LTE everywhere, nor 3G for that matter, yet. I certainly don't have LTE everywhere I drive yet, and some countries are slow at adopting LTE. LTE was delayed because of battery drain in prototypes, in fact, it pushed the 4S out a few months because they were trying to implement it, but had to push it to the next iPhone (or, you could say, iPhone 5 was delayed a year because of problems, mainly battery drain w/LTE). So, don't expect Apple to adopt LTE-A this year, as it is still too new. Also, there is more than one model of iPhone 5 to accommodate LTE/GSM/CDMA with all carriers in all countries (see this: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE), while the 4S is a single global universal model (but without LTE).
Rumors suggest the 5C would fit in the price range the iPhone 4 is in now. So, a new entry level phone, with entry level features...to me, that means no LTE, but, fully capable of performing iOS 7 & beyond well.
I have been predicting this:
•iPhone 5S (w/LTE, enhanced security w/fingerprint sensor, first to have AirDrop, & ? feature) 32/64/128GB (flagship price $199/299/399 on contract) white/graphite/champagne gold
•iPhone 5 (w/LTE) 16GB (middle of the road price $99 on contract)
•iPhone 5C (no LTE) 16GB (entry level price, starting at $49 on contract.) 6 colors, plastic, antenna moved inside, lightning connector *see below
2) After reading a lot of stuff, and too many people saying (no LTE? WTH??) I'm wondering if the "C" in 5C=China model. If so, then, this for the US:
•iPhone 5S (w/LTE, enhanced security w/fingerprint sensor, first to have AirDrop, & ? feature) 32/64/128GB (flagship price $199/299/399 on contract) white/graphite/champagne gold
•iPhone 5 (w/LTE) 16GB (middle of the road price $99 on contract)
•iPhone 4S (no LTE) 16GB (entry level price, $0 on contract)
iPhone 5C is a China-only model, announced Sept. 11th in China, but left out of US Sept. 10th announcement.
What do you think? Rumored 5C=China model? or 5C=new entry level iPhone, replaces 4 & 4S, to eliminate 30-pin connector phones, get all up to speed with iOS 7? (Neither iPhone 4 nor 4S can do all features of iOS 7, i.e.: neither will do AirDrop).
