First time posting on a forum soooo:D

Now to the back story.

After searching for weeks on different forums on how to fix iMessage for unsupported Mac running Mountain Lion, I finally found a simple, permanent fix that works and I'm posting to help you guys in the future so you don't have to do as I.

and now, The Fix...

1. Open Terminal.app
2. Copy and paste this command

Code:
sudo nvram 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:MLB=(6 randomdigits)

3. After the "=" in the command copy and paste your Mac's serial from System Profiler and add 6 random digits to the end of it
4. Press Enter
5. Type in password
6. Press Enter
7. Reboot

Have fun with iMessage!

I can confirm this partially works on my MacBook2,1. i used the command:

Code:
sudo nvram 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:MLB=<MB serial code><6 random digits>

And reboot. Now instead of getting the server error it tells me to contact Apple.

The problem is that I also have Lion installed. Is it going to switch after enabling ML, messing up with the Lion's registration? 0.o
