Seems like a great option if you are in a Sprint coverage area. Especially if you're in an area that has or is going to get LTE soon! :eek:

5c = $449
5s = $549

Plans range from:
$30 = 300 min w/ unlimited text & data
$40 = 1200 min w/ unlimited text & data
$50 = Unlimited everything

I'm on a AT&T family plan and only pay $35 a month for min + unlimited data but if I ever had to switch I might end up going with Virgin Mobile. Seems like as long as you have enough money to afford the iPhone upfront you end up saving some serious cash over a 2-year contract with a carrier :)

P.S. before anyone asks the question : NO, you cannot use these on Sprint or anywhere else, they are locked to Virgin Mobile only.

Thanks for sharing that. What an excellent plan that would be for me.

Unfortunately, i already ordered an unlocked t-mobile phone from apple.
I'm pretty sure there is a similar $30/mo plan from T-mobile.

Check this out: http://consumerist.com/2013/06/07/t...very-chatty-but-can-current-customers-get-it/

I'm hoping to get this plan if possible.

Yep, both $30 plans are great options for consumers. I like the fact that the Virgin Mobile iPhone 5s and 5c are $100 cheaper than Apple MSRP, making it that much easier to afford the upfront cost compared to the T-mobile $30 prepaid plan where you have to pay $650 instead.

Remember the virgin mobile "network" has all the flaws of the sprint network, seeing how they're one in the same.

plus if you're paying $550 for a phone that WONT be unlocked, it seems kinda a ripoff dont u think?

Not for everyone.

I know myself I don't need an unlocked phone. If I was using Virgin Mobile and stopped using them I would simply sell the iPhone via Craigslist to another person looking to save $ with Virgin Mobile's cheap monthly plans.

As for the sprint network, I already said that in the OP. It really just depends if you fall under it, if you do then it's great plus they are rolling out LTE which these phones would get (even with the $30 plan).

iPhone 5s and 5c on Virgin Mobile: $100 off

Not that I would ever get anything that has anything to do with Sprint, but Virign Mobile is now selling iPhone 5s and 5c for $550 and $450 respectively.

Here is the weird part: They kept the 5 - and they kept its old price ($550), I expected they would discount it to $450.

They still sell the 4 for $200 and the 4s for $382.

If only the network was decent...

Can we buy a Virgin mobile phone and use it on Sprint?

No, different CDMA identifier even though it's technically the same network. Technically it is possible, but Sprint does not want that (even their 'contract free' $60 plan)
