The Welcome Movie

Does anyone know where the "Welcome Movie" the one after the finished tiger install is done .. its the movie with 7 or 8 different country welcomes?

I'm trying to find it in the OS but the folder is hidden

I wanna see it again before i upgrade to bigger internal Hdd..

In Finder choose Go > Go To Folder and type in

/System/Library/CoreServices/Setup Assistant/Contents/Resources/TransitionSection.bundle/Contents/Resources/

The video track is in intro.mov, and the audio is in intro-sound.mp3.

Put them in iMovie and save them

The audio runs longer than the video though. I had a friend who made a video for our Mac user group and it ends with just a black screen while the music continues. You're normally navigating the first set up page as the music fades off.

I don't have iLife apps .. my machine didnt come those since it came zeroed out to me and i had to install the oem dvd of tiger..

Or SaveHollywood allows you to use any movie as a screensaver, and automatically uses the 'welcome movie' until you change it.

Wow that Tiger one is a lot better than Panther's Intro movie. I was wondering, did the OS Xs before have them as well? If so, anyone got any links?!

If you have Quicktime Pro or any version that does full-screen, it's easy. First, go into quicktime preferences and uncheck the box that says play sound in the foremost window only. Then make sure the audio and video file are both paused at the beginning. Use Apple+F to full-screen the video. It will automatically start playing. Press space bar to pause it and use the on-screen controls or alt-left-arrow to back it up to the beginning. Now start them both playing at the same exact time by pressing apple+return. BAM!

Edit: there is one that goes back to OS 8, but I warn you that the OS 8 version is really sucky—and gets boring; and another Panther one that's not officially used; as well as a hacked iATKOS one.
