This morning as I was getting out of my car.. I dropped the phone and finally it shattered the back glass. I say finally because I've dropped this phone at least 5 or 6 times previously and it never broke the glass. Only minor scratches on the stainless steel.

Good news is that I ordered my iPhone 5S on Sept 28th and it delivers tomorrow. Maybe I unconsciously dropped the phone in preparation for the iPhone 5S?? :)

Anyhow.. does anyone know approx. how much it would cost to replace the back glass? I want to either keep the iPhone4 or try to sell it later.. but if the cost to repair the back glass is not worth the value then I might just leave it as is..

I see those phone repair carts in the malls all the time. Got my iP4 back replaced for $25 once. Took the guy all of 2 minutes. All Apple OEM parts.

Apple Stores can replace the back for $30.
I can never get inside an Apple Store without greasing my elbows and ass to make it easier to navigate the crowds. I avoid them like the plague.

Sweet.. Thanks guys! I was afraid the cost would be like $100+

And yes.. I guess I did kill it.. but it wasn't on purpose!

Most mom & pop shops will charge about $30-40 for parts and labor, which is pretty reasonable. Just google/yelp one that has good reviews.

Ahhh the iPhone 4. Still IMO the best phone I ever owned. :)
