Finder/Dock

My Finder icon has left my dock. It just sits on the desktop next to the dock. You can't click on it. When you move the mouse over it, it doesn't say "Finder". You can open finder from the top screen, but not the icon that sits on the desktop that use to be in the dock. How do I get it back in the dock???😕

i had the same problem here i fixed it by following the instructions

spotlight : com.apple.dock.plist

remove the prefs and restart. should work fine
