Hello All,

Can I install 1666Mhz DDR3 RAM (4GB + 4GB) in my latest 2011 MBP?

Also, What would be the difference between a regular set of RAM and Low Latency RAM in real world performance?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers!!!

You can try to install the 1666MHz RAM, but it won't run at 1666MHz. if it works at all, it will run at 1333MHz. I'd suggest you only install certified RAM, but not from Apple as it is too expensive.

Yes you can. Lower latency gives you better performance but you probably wont notice the difference.
