just in case anyone here is a student I wanted to let you know of a great deal apple are doing.

I got the new mac 2.4 from regent street branch yesterday morning and upon producing my student card I got £168 off and got an iPod nano £109 but once I send in the receipt I get £95 back and the same with the printer, you get a full refund on the printer.

Point is if you know a student get them to come with you because you will save a bundle.

They also offered me apple care for 3 years for around £40 and mobile me for £44.

Sweet, thanks

Well my miss' is a student, so how do i go about getting the discount.

Should I just send her in with my debit card..... or will they give me the discount if I buy it with her with me?

yea I got all f this over the phone from apple 10 mins after the keynote. Well worth doing. iPod 8GB nano is like only £14. Very good deal IMO!!!

Thats sounds good...

So if I were to order it does everything have to be in the students name (my friend) or can I order it all in my name...

Is definately a good saving...

You have to physically cut holes in both the iPod nano cardboard and MacBook boxes. I'm gonna do my MacBook today and hope that the box still stays in one piece!

I was planmning on selling the Nano and Printer, could you no longer say they are new if you had to damage them or is it getting a sticker off the packaging?

The iPod deal is only in the UK as far as i know. Was in the US but finished now.

Yea i managed to get student discount and save the VAT (tax) through my brothers business :) about a £400 saving which always helps.

Thats a lot of rebate. I didn't think you could use both the student discount, the printer and iPod discount at the same time... This is so nice... :D

Can you please tell us the total price of everything you paid for and what you got with it. A breakdown will be helpful with specs for your Mac and nano.

Thanks

But if you are using your brothers Business wouldnt this void you being a student?

As they will asumme you are working (brothers business)

So you got 168 pounds off.

But in the US they are getting the Macbook way cheaper: $1299. Thats about 700-800 pounds depending on exchange rate.

But here in the UK and all other countires around the world except US, we are paying 1150+ pounds for Macbook thats a wooping 300 pound differnce.

Which is really unfair.

You could go all the way to US flight- pay ticket cost around 270 pounds get a macbook come back and still save money.
