I know about obsidian and that one theme from deviantart. Also I have iCursor, is there anything to change the dock? I don't wanna pay for DockMod and CandyBar idk how to apply the changes.
I agree fisherking! Only Dockmod allows for a totally transparent Dock and even gives you the opportunity to try it in the BETA stage (for one hour, then you can just re-enable the changes). Remember folks, it is only a BETA and may provide more customizations as time progresses that can even be wished for now.
DockMod is only $8 bucks! Please consider donating to the developer as he has spent considerable time creating and modifying the Dock for Mavericks.
He is aware that many requests have been submitted that also modify the side-docks left and right (if that is what you desire). Let's see what He comes up with soon.
For those of you that have paid for DockMod already, know that the developer has promised to make future versions FREE for subscribers.
Problem is, he *already* promised the Black dock would always be free, and then discontinued the app and injected text into all dock icons in the "free mode"
I like Dockmod, but honestly.. none of it is what I want. all the colors etc.. meh. I want black only.
in my random searches... look what I found. In Japanese (I used google translate)

The download is from the same guy that does Colorful Sidebar. and granted this is a beta..
When I run the script I get a 2D transparent black dock like this

I know there are many that want a 2D dock on the bottom in Mavericks again, well here you go. I like the 3D dock myself. Black 3D dock on all my macs and i'm happy.
I downloaded a program that changed the indicator lights, my dock is still gray,do I need simbol or easy simbol?ok, as long as you have Simbl installed.

thats the "instructions"
basically download/extract the files in that link.
put blackdock.bundle in the ~library/application support/Simbl/plugins folder.
I tried to run the inject script.. but it came back as an error.
I then re logged and at first the dock was still white, after a few seconds it switched to the 2D transparent black in the pic.
I don't really care for the 2D myself, but it is kinda growing on me a little.
I'll have to change the status indicator lights now.
I just stumbled upon MacUtil. It allows customization of the indicator lights with eight predefined colors and also the option to apply an image of your choice. Works great and much easier than changing images manually. It also has quite a few other tweaks. Check it out.![]()
