I've had some curious situations going on wrt my three 16e iPhones. All three have had connection problems.
I had two suddenly develop no-connection problems. These turned out to be due to the e-SIMs having been deleted. Funny that as I had never put an e-SIM in either. The SIMs in them were actually never active (surprise to me) and no e-SIM was ever listed. Both linked to EE.
I can link the date when the "hidden" e-SIMs appeared to when I updated to iOS 18.5. 13th July. I'm now attempting to reinstate physical SIMs but at the moment I have no working connections on either iPhone.
With the third iPhone there is a porting problem. Switching networks didn't work and only was resolved when I added an e-SIM. Yet to resolve how to make the SIM work by itself. This is on Vodafone.
Have others had problems with SIMs being listed/used as "hidden" e-SIMs ? I've always mistrusted e-SIMs and these experiences only make that stronger.
