Hi,
I recently bought a 16gb 1600mhz 204 pin Crosair Vegeance RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233265) and installed it on my Macbook Pro (2012 Mid version).

While running, the computer frequently crashes and restarts. Some time is during gaming, and sometime at a random moment. Around 3 hour or so.

Any suggestion? Is this a bad RAM? I heard from many reviews that they got it to work on their mbp... So i gave it a try and it doesnt seem to be working very well.

Is it possible that the ram got overheated and crashed?

It could be you got a bad RAM module. Have you run memtest? If you search the forum, you should be able to find links/instructions on testing RAM.
