Hi!

I'm about to buy an used MacBook Pro and I'm struggling between two models:

13inch models

2015, 2,7 GHz i5, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
Intel iris Graphics 6100 1536MB

2017, 2,3 GHz i5, 8 GB RAM 256gb SSD,
Intel iris plus Graphics 640 1536MB

Which will be a better choice to use mostly running Final Cut Pro? And why?

Iris is about 50% faster and FCPX takes advantage of GPU acceleration.

if you're willing to drop 1499$ on a nTB i5, try squeeing 300$ more for the 2018 i5/8/256, it has a quad core CPU

These cost about the same amount here in Sweden
2017: 780euro
2015: 900euro including apple wireless mouse&keyboard

Question is if the 8gb memory on the 2017 will struggle earlier on a heavy project than the 2015 model?

2nd hand?

16GB is probably a more well-rounded system, but every other component is weaker.

Second hand yes... I'm struggling back and forth...
Hate to have the dongles on the newer one...

These were the ones that I found that suits my budget. Which would you go for?

2015 probably.

edit:
or not. though choice. 2017 has better CPU, GPU and faster drive and will be an all over snappier experience.
But RAM might get you.
4K Video?
