16GB of RAM in Late 2011 15"

I have a few questions on RAM for a new Late 2011 15" MBP. Apple says it supports up to 8GB, but everyone seems to do 16GB. No problems? So I've bought OWC or Crucial in the last, but their prices seem to be $200-$240, while newegg has Corsair for $100 or so. Why the huge price gap? Will either one work?

No problems. Plenty of posts with people using 16GB.

As far as the price, there seems to be a "Value" series of RAMs and more expensive ones from OWC, etc.

I use the Value Corsair 16GB ram, no problems.

I too am using the Corsair 16 GB Kit in my late 2011 15" MBP. No issues to report at this point. Found on Amazon, but also on Newegg, Fry's, and B&H.
