Hi,
I am soon to be the proud owner of a Black, Wi-Fi only iPad 2, however I have a slight problem.
I have no idea which one to get:
16Gb or 32Gb.

Here are my uses:
About 1Gb of music
About 5Gb of photos (which the iPad automatically downgrades in size, so probably not very many...)
Quite a lot of apps (including some big ones, for example the 1Gb Fifa 11)
Some documents and PDFs
The odd movie/TV show however only when travelling

Please help!

Go for at least 32gb while what your uses are it seems it would be ok, you will still have to always be aware of what's going on it, making sure there's not too much stuff etc..

I had the 16gb but there's just so much apps, music is awesome on it feels like you are actually running iTunes, why limit yourself?

I returned it and now have the 32gb with no regrets load up just about anything I want on it and still got a few gigs to play with

32

I've got a similar decision, and I'm going to go for the 32. If you can afford it, you might as well.

I agree with what was said above. If you can afford it, definitely go for the 32GB iPad. You would be surprised how fast the memory gets used up.

Another vote for 32. gives you breathing room and allows you to put a few more movies on for those longer trips.

I got the 32 Wifi and 3G and love it :)

I have 16G. Now I have almost the same as you have, and I am using 15G. However, this is without a movie.

Buy 16G if price matters / u can manage the space
Buy 32G if u can afford it / u can use the space easily

Get much as you can afford.
I'm currently sitting on about 29 GB used, on god knows what. 10000 songs I don't really use and 4 full lengh movies and a coup,e of hundred photos.

You don't want to have to manage your storage any more than you have too. Personally I think that 32 should be the base model.

I bought the 32GB because I tend to fill up what I have.

If they had had a 64GB option, I'd have gone with that one. If cost is an issue, go with the 16.

I use a 16 GB version and have no trouble so far with that. When I watch movies at home on it, they're streamed and don't consume space. When I listen to music, it's Spotify => again streamed. For pictures, I don't store these quantities on it and only use it as a temporary storage, or as a showcase of select photos.

I currently have 12 GB free on my 16 GB iPad 2.

I guess 32 GB can be useful if you want to store movies for when you're travelling or use iTunes or other offline music files heavily.

Wow! Thanks for the response everyone! I think you have made my mind up - 32Gb it is! :D Cheers

I was going through the same dilema (i know, such a life altering decision :D), but when i went to Best Buy, they only had 32GB (wifi only) in stock, so i borrowed $100 off my brother and went 32. I will pay him back friday with some interest (and let him check it out for awhile). I didn't realize it is still a little tough to find ipads in stock. My local Best Buy only had 4 total.

I have the 16GB and I do fine with it. I have more than 16GB in music alone, but I can just stream it. With iCloud coming, I doubt you're gonna need more than 16GB, save yourself the $100. :)

32GB for sure. I have 1st gen 16GB and I wish I had 32GB. I can't fit all the awesome apps and games I've purchased since I like to purchase games when they are on sale for $0.99.

I had a 32 iPad 1 and was always running out of space, especially when traveling for longer periods of time and not having the MBP with me to exchange out media.

I got a 64 GB iPad 2 and now I always have enough space. If you can, I would recommend 64, especially if you frequently have long trips.

Another vote for the 32GB. Once you start installing more big apps like you mentioned, and adding movies, that space disappears quick. You'll wish you had gotten the 32GB.

I bought a 32GB (Actually 29GB) thinking that 16GB wasn't going to be enough,but after 65 apps ( 15 games ) over 100 songs 1.5GB of photos.I still have 24GB left.

So I only used 5GB,so I guess the 16GB would suffice my needs.
