Which iPhone 5 flavor would you choose & why?
Factory unlocked iPhones or subsidized iPhones apply to this post.

i went 64 gig cos had 32 iP4 and that's almost full....i hate being at the brink of things and having to delete just to add other stuff....so i paid the extra to stop managing! :)

Went with the 16GB Black iPhone 5. I've never gone over 12GB, but if I need more space in two years I guess I'll just have to upgrade. :)

I went for 32Gb on my 5 as my current 32Gb 4 still has 14Gb of space left over and I've got more than what I need on it (Loads of apps that I never use etc).

Though I did consider the 64Gb as it was only £100 more than the 32Gb but the wife convinced me it was unnecessary.

I've always believed it's best to get the most memory you can afford. Better to have more than you need, than not have enough when you need it.

64GB. Because they don't make a 128GB one yet. iCloud, Match, etc. all depend on a metered data connection, and I'd rather have my stuff with me than rely on a cellular connection that I may or may not have (i.e. inside a building with poor reception) paying by the GB....

Started with a 16GB, then took 32GB now going to get 64GB.
Simply because I'm using it more and more, I need more space on it. It's my Swiss Army Knife :)

Having some more space to store data and entertainment is always good, especially as my current 32GB is getting a bit full already...

I went 32GB. I find 64GB excessive, even on the iPad. In the days before cloud services I would be complaining about 64GB being too small, but I just don't find it necessary to carry around a giant music collection any more when it's all in the cloud.

I got a white 32GB with AT&T. Thankfully my husband gave me his upgrade since last year when his iPhone 4 screen broke, and he wanted Siri, I gave him my upgrade. After ordering, i regretfully wished I had ordered the 64GB, but after giving it thought, and thanks to iCloud, I will stay 32GB!

Thinking I'll go with the 64GB simply because I'm probably gonna buy a used Retina MBP soon with 256GB (or 512gb if i'm lucky), so to compensate, I can have more of my music collection, videos etc. on the iPhone and don't have to use the mac as much for storing these things internally.

I just don't find it necessary to carry around a giant music collection any more when it's all in the cloud.
And when you can't connect to the cloud for whatever reason, you won't have your music to play.

I ordered a 32GB Black. I currently have a 16GB 3G, that's right 3G. In the 4 years, including all of the music and all the great pictures that my daughters took (for example some of the floor, or my trucks dashboard and some of their feet), I still had only used about 60% of the memeory.

However, my other considerations were iP5 takes 8MP pics (take up more space obviously) and will probably use it to take some video. So I thought, 32GB should be more than enough, and could probably get by with 16 if you managed memory more. Plus, there's iCloud and I probably only really need about half of the music, so i could remove the other half, so... that's my delusional reasoning.

I pre ordered the 16gb. Hope its plenty since my last iPhone was the 4 a couple years ago. I put music in my iPod that I leave in my car. I'll put the latest music in iPhone and probably use icloud. I won't be saving movies and not record too many videos. Mostly pictures will be saved in the iPhone.

I've always gone for the biggest capacity before now but I've moved onto Spotify and I don't need any music loaded anymore. So I've gone for a 16GB.

Good point with spotify unless you want to use offline mode. Which helps a lot, on a long drive. Unreliable connections, uninterupted listening. My previous iphone 3gs and 4 got a 32gb. Im kinda conservative and still have 13 gb left on it. Now I option out, to 64gb. And try to be less conservative. Esp. on offline mode using spotify. And apps these days are getting bigger in sizes. Plus photo with panorama. HD video. And you are almost paying $2000 for the life of your contract. Why not option for bigger drive space.
