Hello all,

My 16 in has periodically been dropping connection inside my house. I tried resetting pram and SMC which did nothing. Then I noticed that my console was filed with these errors (pic related). I tired uninstalling malware bytes, Better touch tool, and doing a reinstall of the OS but they still persist. I'm pretty sure these errors are linked to the wifi dropping out. Any ideas?

They are usually of this form: Sun Feb 9 11:16:52.259 <airportd[264]> ERROR: rapportd (357) is not entitled for com.apple.wifi.join_history, will not allow request Sun Feb 9 11:16:52.284 <airportd[264]> ERROR: rapportd (357) is not entitled for com.apple.wifi.join_history, will not allow request

Something to try (not sure if it will help):
Do a "safe boot" -- boot with shift key held down.
Now log in and run that way for a few hours.
Does anything change?

A few hours isn’t enough time to test it out since it happens intermittently and randomly. I’m pretty sure it’s a hardware issue at this point but I have no way to prove it to Apple

I take it you're not moving around your house at all? And/or your previous laptop didn't have any similar issues?

Nope. Yesterday it happened 5 times in a row before I restarted with the laptop just sitting there. I did a bunch of trouble shooting with Apple and then restarted the computer and it happened again. My whole house is full of apple stuff and none of them have wifi stability issues with the router. the errors I posted in OP seem to be normal Catalina errors (based on talking to others - kind of like the kill return unexpected error 1 in safari) so at this point I’m beginning to think that apples hardware diagnostics is not picking up the underlying issue. Currently going to use a test user for a week to see if that fixes it
