Meant unironically

I have traded up from a MacBook Pro 2016. The new MacBook Pro is much better for browsing the internet. On web pages with lots of stuff that needs to load (eg lots of images with javascript that scrolls endlessly), it loads these pages lightning fast. I don't know if it's the better graphics card (8Gb), better processor (i9 8-core) or increased RAM (64Gb), but whatever it is, it's actually a big upgrade for regular browsing.

Also Mail closes down much faster.

Maybe this is an Apple strategy - to get the software working more poorly on older machines to encourage upgrades.

Anyway, I'm a happy camper. The sound quality from the speakers is crazy-good and the keyboard is ace too.
