= 320 xBench score (disk test = 448.15). W/2 in RAID 0 = a little over 330 (disk test = 533.24). I think the 2d x25-E may be bad - or the original sata port is a problem. You would think that 2 x25-Es would destroy based on the score for 1.

I was on a 17" rev. 5,2 before this one and didn't think I'd see much if any difference. I was wrong. The old one ripped (xbench = 268.81, which is one of the top 5 scores for a rev. 5,2). The new one rips. 320 = No. 10 on xBench and 330 = No. 4.

BTW: the x25-E is in the DVD sata port. Is it possible that the DVD sata port performs better (the "bad" x25-E was in the original port).
 
You're just saturating the SATAII interface, I think. Two X25-Es will not be twice as fast in RAID0 compared to one X25-E.
