Need some help. I am looking at buying a refurbed iMac for the kids 8 and 6 for some online stuff.

Would this machine with the processor above and maximum RAM of 2gb still be fully capable of running recent flash games?

It still could be a decent web browsing, iTunes, and office computer... multitasking will be limited and HD fullscreen video may be a no, however.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I say find a refurbed 21" might have a bit more functionality and spec for your money.

And also, you can bump the RAM up to 8 GB on the more latest models as well, which would be good for 2 users as well.

If i am not looking to do HD video would the machine suffice for online kid learning games?

im not sure 1.83mhz is capable of booting snow leopard ;). in all seriousness though, I think it would be fine for web browsing...however, you are kind of pushing it with flash games...they can even give my 2011 quad core i5 a run for its processor...it uses 50-60% of my processor...(as a whole)
