17" iMac shipping Yesterday??

A friend of mine called me up late last night and asked me if my 17" shipped. I told him no and it still hasn't shipped. He went on to tell me that he was on-line and a few people who had also oredered theirs' the same day said that their imac had shipped. Anybody else hear something about this?

has anybody ordered and has their 17" imac shipped???

I can't wait for these - and have ask salespeople the 1800 number the last two weeks and nothing for sure.

I really hope they are shipping!

I ordered a 17" imac and it hasnt shipped and i have been informed that it is supposed to be garrenteed that it wont ship for a nother week and possibly not til the 24th, release date of jaggggggwaaaar.

the 17" imacs are in the stores now and on my way to pick mine up now
I will have pictures as soon as I get home.

I don't get why the apple stores get theirs first when customers who have already purchased theirs weeks ago are still kept waiting.
