Just wondering if it is worth getting one of the new MBP 17 inch with anti glare screen as opposed to getting an older 15 inch MBP which still has the matte option?

Any thoughts? Anyone who actually works with one of these able to share their insight on them, particularly if they felt that the higher resolution screen was beneficial....or not....

Thanks.

Part of it depends on what you use your computer for. If you're doing graphics or visually intensive stuff, then yes. If you're surfing, playing music, and get a new machine every 2 years, then I'd say no.

I recently sold my 17" High Res. MBP that Phungy lovingly nicknamed the "god machine" for the new 15" MBP. Size wise, I really think the 17" is pushing it. It's up to you though.

Are the "new" 17 MBP screens different than the older MBP screens? Isn't antiglare matte?
