Hey everyone,

I have a 17" Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo Processor

This is not the Unibody Model

When I boot the computer up it takes about 15 mins to actually get to the point where I can use it.

It spends 10 mins on the blue start up screen with the Apple Logo

Then after the dock comes up and my background, it takes another 5mins to for the icons and finder to respond to the mouse pointer.

After the 15mins of bootup time, the macbook runs fine.

The fans have also stopped working.

All the ports work properly

Does this sound like a logic board failure???

If it is what options do I have in fixing it?

It could be a dying drive

It could be overheating from the fans dying, and throttling down to a low clock speed to save itself from cooking
