haha, not quite, but close.

My friend has a MBP 17" that gets carried in a backpack in an incase sleeve. The problem as this computer is often too hot to hold when taken out of its case. In fact, it is almost never running cool. The settings are to 'better battery life' when it is running on the battery. The only reason I can think of is the lid is either not getting shut so it's not sleeping, or their is a malfunction that is keeping it from sleeping. But perhaps just keeping it in a sleeve all the time isn't letting it breathe.

Any help or advice?

I cooked my girlfriends macbook by putting it in its case while sleeping,I only had it in there for like 20 minutes while I drove to a friends house.Took it out and was scorching hot.Now if I'm going to have it in it's case for any ammt of time I just turn it off.It seems while sleeping they are easy to wake themselves up.
