Was just on the Online Apple Store and I noticed Apple has changed the 17" MBP ship date from 2-3 weeks to 7-10 days.

That sounds about right, ordered mine on Jan 6th and its a ship date of Feb 5th so close to 10 days.
Not true. I went on my local Apple Store and I noticed banners saying "February Friday the 13th 2009 introducing the new 17" MacBook Pro"
Meant Online Apple store. I corrected it..
And that is not Cool... That's when I was going to pick up my 15" MBP... I'm gonna be hoping the temptation doesn't arise and I spring for the 17"
Mine is completely stock and I get it Feb 13. :-( Are they open on Sundays, maybe I should call and see if they can bump my date up. It doesn't make sense that someone can order today and get an earlier shipping date.
Just wait, I'm pretty sure yours will ship much earlier than someone who just ordered now. The shipping quote isnt always right and yours could change or bump up even quicker anyday now (this is what happened to me a couple years back when I ordered online).
Also you dont want it to get even more complicated by canceling because you will regret it when your shipment will bump up quicker. Just let Apple's system/priority catch up and it will.
As long as they do that...I think changing the shipping dates might effect people so they might not change it once you've been given one.
Where are you located? I used the free shipping and it's a three day shipment with that.
I just looked, they don't offer overnight. I live in Atlanta and usually when I order from Apple its about 5 days normal shipping. I ordered the new Headphones when they came out and it was 5 days with standard shipping.
I paid the expedited shipping, and still says ships Feb 4 and receive it Feb 9th. I live in NY.
