17" MBP speakers > 15" MBP speakers?

I was in the Apple store today comparing, and it seemed as thought the 17" was a lot louder and sounded crisper, then again it was loud as hell in the store so it was hard to tell.

Anybody with some knowledge on this, I assume they use the same speaker in both systems, but the 17" just has a bigger vent (?) for the sound to come out.

Anyone notice a notable difference?

I had the 15" and now have the 17" and have to say: The 17" has better and louder speakers than my 12" iBook. And the 15" MBP of course.

The 17" has two speakers on both sides, plus a woofer.
