Over the last couple of days I have been re-ripping my CDs to have a lossless digital copy. My superdrive is performing just fine through it all other than one issue.

Every couple of CDs the disc will be sucked in like normal but it won't spin and read. If I hit/hold the eject button the drive will make its normal CD crunching sound and start spinning and reading.

Should I live with this and see if it gets any worse over the next couple months or get it to Apple asap?
Applecare until Jun 09

look in disk Utility to see if it just didn't mount. one thing is could be formatted weird (but i seriously doubt it)

The CDs that are having problems don't seem to be recognized when inserted. Nothing is showing up in Disk Utility until I try ejecting the CD.

Also, it doesn't seem to happen with specific CDs, just at random times.
