17" MBP w/7200 RPM Drive Option Question

I'm getting ready to buy a 17" MBP with the MATTE finish option (which has a silver bezel and is the hottest MBP I've ever seen!!!!) but I was thinking about adding the 7200 RPM option - I won't add this myself later as I want it to be under warranty from Apple. Has anyone used this option? When Apple installs the drive is it loud, hot, boot slower, drain the battery quicker? Any input would be great but I'm only interested if Apple has installed the drive.....

I really wanted a Matte finish and was hoping I would get it via the 2nd REV in the 15" but alas Steve seems set to slowly end this option....

You can replace the HDD without voiding the warranty. Well, as long as you do it right.

As for the Matte, you sure made the right decision
