Ok so looking for a bit of advice. Been offered a 17" Mid 2009 MacBook Pro for just £40 but apparently the screen goes pink sometimes but not all the time, apart from that works great.

After a little bit of searching it seems to could just be the ribbon cable connecting the Logic Board to the Screen which should be an easy fix. Someone also said it could need some soldering work but from what I can see this seems to be 2011 model only?

Anyone have any personal experience with this problem or know anything else it could be? Pictures below show it working fine, also has specs incase that makes a difference?

Thanks in Advance :)

If this is a time-sensitive opportunity, don't wait for advice here. Just buy the thing. At that price you can't go wrong.

And from what I've seen, it could be a cable, or something worse, but I'm not expert in that. Could also be heat related, might need to be cleaned inside.
