17" PB - power adaptor problems

I just recently purchased a brand new 17" Powerbook. As soon as I got it, and plugged it in, the power adaptor fried. The green light came on, and then it shorted out. I took it town to the genius bar, and had it replaced. Last night, I plugged in my PB, only to wake up and find the same issue has happend. I have owned a 12" and 15" before, and have never had this issue. They were both also plugged into a powerstrip when this issue happend.

I really hope it's an issue with the adaptor, and not the PB, I would had to have to send it in. Has anyone had a similar issue?

I haven't seen this before, but I do know the 17" models use a different voltage than the 15".

There's 45w and 60w adapters.

Which one are you using?

I assume the Apple gusy would have given you the right one, but if you had the wrong one to begin with, they may have just looked at the first fried one and given you the same one again.

Granted, even using the wrong adapter shouldn't be causing it to fry, but you never know...
