This topic might seem a bit old. I'm experiencing display problems on my 17" 1.67 GHz PowerBook, but these are not the 'regular' problems, like vertical lines or sudden display-sleep. I've Googled a lot, but I couldn't find users who experienced the exact same problem.

It all started about one year ago: whenever I moved the display back and forth, it flickered. But in some positions it still worked perfectly. When moving the display, I noticed a slight 'tick', somewhere between the keyboard and the display. A few days later I could only 'open' my PowerBook for about 2" to view image on the the display. Now I have a 23" Mac-display attached to it and it displays fine on it, but a PowerBook alone should be mobile, of course.

Recently, I activated the 'flurry' screensaver, and noticed that it showes up on the PowerBook-screen too, but very dark (dimmed).

Could this be a (non-inverter) cable-related problem?

Many thank's for your answers in advance.
