Im having problems getting my canon Lide 80 working with my Powerbook at the mo it just aint picking it up and the driver disk software just installed into Photoshop 7 and CS which are on My OSX (Which is 10.3) and thats about it really, image capture never picked it up either and theres no power on switch, do i need to use a powered usb hub to get it to work on my powerbook? i know theres a wireless USB hub you can buy to plug into a wireless router but wonder if it may work another way?

any help would be gratlful.
Thanks. :)

Download the latest Scangear CS driver from:
http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCp...74&section=10274&pname=CanoScan LiDE 80#macdr

called ScanGear CS v7.2.5.0X Scanner Driver for Macintosh OS X v10.1.3 or later in "Native Mode" - 12mb

don't bother with the Toolbox

Run the installer and manually select the Photoshop Application Support Plugins folder.

Should be good to go after restarting.

Select File>Import>Scangear CS when running Photoshop.

ahh ok so i install that but shouldnt the lide 80 light up physically without the drivers when plugged into my powerbook?
