As background, I had my 14PM paired with my car for years. Car Play worked almost flawlessly, but for some reason I cannot get my 17PM to pair.

I followed the instructions in my car's entertainment system and on my phone. I connect the phone's WiFi to my car, turn on BT, and can get a pairing code to generate on both ends, but when I tried to pair this afternoon it said "iPhone 17 is not compatible". Like wut?!

Anyone else had issues getting a 17 Pro or PM to connect to Car Play? Any help is much appreciated (I can't go back to FM radio, I just can't 💔)

How did you set up your new phone? I did the phone-to-phone transfer which copied all of my settings and this morning in my car, I got a message in CarPlay if I wanted to allow the phone to connect. No issues at all.

I'm not sure what else to recommend since I've never had any issues with CarPlay recognizing a new phone.

I did the phone-to-phone setup as well.

I'll try CarPlay again tomorrow. Might try removing the car from my phone and re-pairing brand new, see if that helps. My car has a "known devices" section but that doesn't show the 14PM. I thought about removing it, but it doesn't show, so who knows. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm having tons of issues with CarPlay and my iPhone 17 PM. I have to set it up every time I get in the car now.
