We already know that Qualcomm’s X80 modem is installed in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The modem is billed as having AI control that will improve signal reliability at the margins. As more owners spend more time with this phone in the weeks ahead, I’d love to hear if the X80 makes a noticeable difference. Does the phone hang onto signals where you would normally lose it? This goes for rural, suburban and urban areas, whether indoors, outdoors or in vehicles. Phone calls, streaming audio and video, and internet use all count. Thanks in advance.
