I consistently get worse cellular coverage on my 17 Pro Max. I can have my phone right next to my iPhone Air, and I’ll be getting LTE on the 17 Pro Max and 5G full bars on the Air.

Anyone else experiencing worse coverage on their pro/max?!

I have cellular issues with my 17 Pro Max. I'm on T-Mobile in the U.S. and they confirmed no account or network issues. I can make normal calls but when I use data for iMessage, FaceTime, Instagram, Uber etc, the internet gets disconnected every 4-5 minutes and reconnects after a minute or I have to toggle Airplane mode on and off.

It has been super frustrating when I go for walks and call my family who live abroad on FaceTime Audio as we can't hear each other every 5 minutes and I have to do this dance again and again. Apple Support ran a bunch of diagnostics and found nothing wrong but resetting network settings did not help, neither did deleting and adding the eSIM again. I’ve reset network settings thrice. The first time it worked for two days but the subsequent attempts did nothing.
The battery also drains without much use when sitting idle. It has been 15 days since I got the phone, so I'm not sure any other indexing is happening and these issues might be related.

It’s also not local. I was traveling a lot when I got my phone and I had this issue in various parts of the U.S.

Strangely, if I disable 5G and switch to LTE it somewhat works, with fewer disruptions. But I want it fixed. I’m using the TechWoven case from Apple.

I'm scheduled for a Genius Bar appointment on Saturday and they're giving me a replacement device.

Weird.

One of the reasons I returned the Air I got for a 17Pro was signal strength. At work my coworkers all got Pros, and they consistently could get a signal inside the building where I could not with an Air. I switched to a 17 Pro, and it too gets a signal where the Air could not.
