iPhone 17 17 selling out

I stopped by my local Apple Store with my wife today to get her an iPhone 17 (and sadly bid farewell to her 13 mini). I was surprised to find that all the store had in stock was a stock black model and a 512 blue model. Everything else was sold out. She opted for the black one. But if after all these weeks the 17 is still selling out, even at our local store, Apple must have a pretty huge hit on its hands.

It comes and goes. Looking about Apple HQ for the closest 12 stores, all colors/combinations of the base 17 are available except for the 256GB Mist Blue. This is in a ~40 mile radius, however. Some stores have only one while others have 4-6 combinations.

For a while, Pro Maxes were impossible to find. However, this week, they've been appearing in many combinations.

Yeah when I picked up my iPhone 17 I noticed that my local Apple Store had a trend of having them in stock on Thursdays but then selling out by the end of the weekend so it’s just a matter of timing it.
