Hello, I'd appreciate it if anyone who's got a uMBP 17" with a matte screen could answer if the colour reproduction is any better than the glossy version?
I'm looking to purchase in the next week and the laptop will be coming with me to work abroad - somewhere hot and rather sunny, I'll be using it out in the field for photography and film - mostly to check focus and exposure but will have access to a decent monitor in the office so will be doing colour critical work there. The rest of the time it will be used for print and digital graphic design but will be proofing on a proper screen and on cromalin/dyesub and actual stocks etc.
I'm trying to weigh up what will be best as to the glossy/matte conundrum and also wanted to know if the matte version still has glass in front of it? - I couldn't find any images of the matte screen 17" on the apple site and would appreciate it if anyone has a link to any images?
