17" unibody battery issue

I just got my 17 and iStatPro is showing 0 charge cycles, but a battery health of only 97%. Could this be an issue with iStatPro or did I get a bad battery?

Give it a few days if it doesn't change, call Apple.

Charge it up and use it until it dies down, repeat a few times. My new 15" MacBook Pro Unibody said the same thing, after the 2nd charge cycle the battery health reached 100%. It takes awhile for these batteries to get to optimum efficiency.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to cycle it a few times and see what happens. Worst case I'll get a new battery at the Apple Store (talked to them today and they don't have any in yet so there's not much point in bringing the laptop in).

Mine's at 98%, 5 cycles so far. I don't really care, as long as its above 80%.

Yeah I'm anal about it being perfect out of the box considering what I paid for it.

iStat and coconut aren't really that reliable. I've calibrated my battery many, many times and it still says it's at 100% capacity even after 487 cycles.

There are instructions for correctly calibrating your battery on Apple.com.

After the first calibration the cycles went from 0 to 2 (weird) and the battery health is now at 99%. I'll do it again tonight and see if I can get to 100%.

Sweet, took my laptop to do some work for several hours on the battery and now it's showing 100% health in iStatPro. I guess it just needed some exercise! Thanks for the tip guys.
