In the forums, a "Sponsored" message is typically appended after the last item in a discussion. The "Sponsored" text is underlined and appears to be a URL, but it is not.
My suggestion is to have "Sponsored" be a link to a page that explains why the advertisements are present and how a user can eliminate such messages from their view by a $25/year (or more) contribution. I think that should be a page with a terse message and not the actual FAQ. It could link to the FAQ...
