I have a question: my G5 refuses to flash this card.

Info:
G5 June 2004 2.0 DP
ATI FireGL X3 256 (109 rev, Samsung BGA chips), card is 100% ok, checked in PC.....

This is what both Tiger and Leopard see in System Profiler

And now the problem:

This is what I get in VNC: (OS X 10.4.6 Tiger / 10.5.6 Leopard)

When ATI Multi Flasher should start flashing, this little windows appears, no progress bar, nothing and complete G5 freeze.

There is molex connected to the card, so its not power problem.

I tried FireGL 64kb ROM from Tome with or without changed DID (Device ID) and in every case G5 just freezes.

What do you think is the problem ?
I still have not tried to flash this card on a PC.

Problem solved. I dont know why ATI Flasher did not report this but tome-s FireGL MAC BIOS is bigger than 65536, which simply can not be flashed on 64kb chips.

I downloaded X800XT reduced ROM again, changed DID to 4D4A in two places, and now card is recognised as:

Did you do that in Leopard or Tiger? I have the same card which I tried to flash in a PC, but no avail. It seemed flashed fine, but I got a black screen when it's plugged in G5.
I also tried in G5 using Graphiccelerator, and got the following error:
" card rom size (00010000) < new rom size (0001E200)"
Any help will be appreciated very much.
