Alternatives to OS X and OS X devices forum

I think it would be a good idea for a subforum for OS X and OS X device alternatives like the site has for iOS. Many members use Windows in addition to OS X or consider buying non-Apple computers and there is currently no good place to discuss those devices or OS related issues like there is for Android. The only forum that kind of fits is the "Windows, Linux, and others on the Mac" forum, but that's really devoted to running those systems on Apple hardware rather than by themselves.

Whilst those areas are naturally Mac-oriented, that topic is not entirely devoted to Apple hardware. https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=20531526#post20531526 is exemplary of a post that involves many other brands; my most recent post there involves Ergo; and so on.
