Has anyone been able to sync their B5 iDevice w/ iTunes?

I keep getting "iTunes could not back up the iPhone/iPad "..." because the iPhone/iPad disconnected." ever since B5 and/or DP5.

Backup services don't work on this beta. This was in the release notes for iOS 8 beta 5.

More specifically, its encrypted backups that don't work and app sync.
