Switched over to iOS 8 on my 5S along with iCloud Drive but struggling to find the above option?

I'm hoping it's me who is going blind?

I'm pretty sure iCloud photo is not in the GM release. I read earlier today that it wouldn't be available until October.

You need to enable icloud photos first and then the option will come up in the same preference pane.

No, its not there. Most are having the same issue. Developers aren't. so its makes me think its a server side thing they need to flip the switch on.

It seems strange that you still have the option to favourite photos, I thought the idea of favouriting photos means the high quality version is saved to the device.

Maybe I'm just over thinking things now :D

I have this option on my phone.

Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library (Beta)

Make sure the iCloud Photo Library is enabled and the option shows up.

The only options I have in Photos are:

- My Photo Stream
- Upload Burst Photos
- iCloud Photo Sharing

Yes but only registered this morning, maybe that's it!

Maybe. The option shows up on both my devices, tho I couldn't get it to work properly so I just disabled it. Assuming you have the GM version, correct? The release notes now say "iCloud Photo Library requires the GM Seed."

So do we know if this feature is due to go live for everyone at the public release?
