iPhone 6 plus: photos look...grainy

Photos on my 6+ look grainy. Even in good light. At first I thought it might be to the scaling of the screen, but air dropped to my iPhone 5 and they still don't look good. Anybody ne notice anything?

I'm having a similar issue with my 6. Thought it might of been my case getting in the way. Still testing to see if shooting with the case off makes a difference.
 
My camera seems great. The few pictures I've taken already almost look professional.

Going to take my 6 plus in because my photos are terrible, but my mothers 6 plus takes gorgeous ones. It might be an actual problem with your camera.
 
Make sure you don't have a filter enabled. I just figured out this morning the "Instant" filter had been set on my phone for months now (probably done by my 3-year old). Was disappointed my 6 photos were crappy like my 4s photos (this was due to me restoring from backup and it kept the Instant setting from my 4s).
 
Looks to be more of an auto focus problem. The phone is focusing down at the bottom middle of the image.

Either that or the plastic is still on your phone :eek:
 
That isn't "good light" - you have huge range in that scene from the shadows under the trees to the bright sunlight. The camera is trying to give an even exposure which is hard in a scene like that. If you were to expose for the sky, the shadows would have no detail and if you exposed for the shadows the sky would be completely washed out.

Try somewhere a bit more open where you don't have such extremes.

No filter. Just double checked.
 
I am not impressed with this new camera at all. Even at base ISO50, there's very heavy details smudging. Looks like ISO3200 from a dedicated camera. Focus is not particularly fast either. The Sony Z1 Compact I had took better pictures and had much faster focus, and I limited it to 8MP from the 20MP sensor.
