Is there anyway to get rid of the number one over the settings icon? I have the number one, because of the update to I OS 8.0 .1. But now when I go into general, and software update, number one is still in that bar. However, it says my software is up-to-date. Is there anyway to clear this?

Yeah, I'm gonna do that. Sorry. But it bothers me. Doesn't really take a long time...
When the update is out, and you download and install it then there won't be a notification about a new update anymore.

With all the documented issues, why would you even want to update?(not that you can atm since Apple pulled it)

Would you rather be unable to make calls or use cellular data and have the Touch ID stop working?
Settings>General>Usage>Manage storage> and scroll down to find the 8.01 update and delete it.
If this is the case, OP, feel free to search the interwebs for the 8.0.1.
If you want your phone to remain active and functioning, you might as well wait for 8.0.2.
I promise you'll like it a lot more than losing cellular service and Touch-ID lol.
