Is there anyway to get rid of the number one over the settings icon? I have the number one, because of the update to I OS 8.0 .1. But now when I go into general, and software update, number one is still in that bar. However, it says my software is up-to-date. Is there anyway to clear this?

I have the same problem :/

You're going to factory reset over a red badge on your settings icon?

Hilarious.

It will be fixed whenever the update to 8.0.1 comes out and verification isn't blocked on the last update.

Yeah, I'm gonna do that. Sorry. But it bothers me. Doesn't really take a long time...

So how do I update to iOS 8.0.1?

Is it still possible to update? I have the number one on my Settings app on my iPhone 6+, but I go in and it says that 8.0 is up-to-date.

With all the documented issues, why would you even want to update? (not that you can atm since Apple pulled it)

So they will be sending out another update in the next few days? I don't like having that badge on my settings icon lol

Would you rather be unable to make calls or use cellular data and have the Touch ID stop working?

If this is the case, OP, feel free to search the interwebs for the 8.0.1.
If you want your phone to remain active and functioning, you might as well wait for 8.0.2.
