Went to the Apple Store today and to my surprise all the iphone 6's had paint chipping on the bottom by the charging port and even a bit by the speaker grills.

**EDIT** Alright guys sorry. I get it. I removed the pictures **EDIT**

No one gives a **** about the display models cuz they are the display. They did not come out of the box like that.
And no my phones not like that

For crying out loud.... enough with the #gate stuff.

Hmm... the hottest consumer electronic device currently on the market gets manhandled by hundreds of people every day - people that don't own it, so obviously don't treat it with the same care as if they did...

It's getting months/years of abuse in just a few short weeks. Yes, expect some dings and scratches.

You do have a point. I will admit that I don't have enough rude and disrespectful Apple fanboyish replies to qualify for MacRumors membership... Maybe someday.

Before anything should be regarded as a "gate", it should be shown to affect the functionality of the phone. This does not. Just put a case on it and forget about it.

Make that Thousands of people every day.

What's wrong with you flamers???
I appreciated the photos. That's what my iPhone 6 will look like in a years time or so. It was insightful.

Jeez...wish there were categories where people can filter who can see their own posts. I'll untick the fanboy category every time.

And taking into account that people seem to be really trying to harm the phone in hand, bending it, seeing if it scratches, ... .

Makes me wonder if other companies are actually glad about crazes like bend gate or if they actually a little bit jealous.
It's not like Apple has to do a major recall.

People sometimes miss the connector when they put the phone back on the dock and the aluminum gets scratched. No big deal.

I've had my 6 Plus since launch day, and there have been no scratches near the Lightning port yet. But I'm always very careful about plugging in precisely so I can avoid something like that. But with how thin the Lightning connector is, I imagine this will happen sooner or later.

I would like to point out that there is no chipping paint on any iPhone. It's impossible because no paint is used on any iPhone, ever. The process to color Aluminum is anodizing. It is applied with electricity and it becomes part of the surface of the Aluminum and is deep in the materials outer surface it can scratch but it's very durable. It is not paint!

I love how if there's a single thing wrong with the iPhone the internet slaps #gate on it.

I'm actually interested in this, there shouldn't be any chipping, the anodized aluminum is not paint, I'd appreciate the pictures if you still have them.

So thousands of people go into Apple Store and handle the phones on display. Dont think those phones are gonna be flawless.
