Computer is in good shape, there are few/slight blemishes, but I have babied this thing.
17in Anti-glare display
Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 (11B26)

I love this computer but I feel like the 17in decreases the mobility of the lap top.

I just sold my:

17" Mid-2009 base (2.8C2D, 4GB) but with a 500GB moments XT drive for $1500.

So thereabouts but maybe $100 more?

id say 1500-1800. Make sure that you list that your MacBook Pro also has the discrete nVidia GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB (graphics switching through energy saver preferences)

Wow, I was going to say $1000-1200, depending on if you have the box, etc. I've seen i5/i7 17" MBPs going for $1300-1600, hence the suggestion.

It's a nice machine, but a new 13" is significantly faster (granted, that's apples and oranges to a degree, but . . . )

All the best with your sale!

I sold my 2009 17in MBP 2.8 500gb 8gb Ram for 1600 earlier this year when the new sandy bridge quad cores came out. Good luck with the sale.

Wow, I wouldn't think $1500+ for a C2D, but after research:

eBay (before fees): $1450-$1650 + shipping.
Local/Craigslist: $1300-$1400

IMO, also depends on condition, software, original components, etc.
