Hey guys,

So I noticed when my 17PM is connected to my Bose Revolve+ or my JBL bluetooth speaker that my text tone volume (I use the classic Glass tone) is very quiet. My ringtone and all other notification tones remains loud. Yes, my volume is all the way up. If I disconnect from the bluetooth speaker and make no other changes, the text tone volume is loud again.

I have a 17PM 512 running 26.0

If you can, please check your text tone volume when connected to your bluetooth speaker.

Many thanks

Are you receiving texts while looking at the phone? Keep in mind the volume of alerts and tones is lowered when Face ID detects that you're looking at the display.

Hi, No. I noticed this yesterday while my iPhone was sitting on my desk and I was maybe 4 feet away. I received a text and could barely hear it and thought, hmmm my volumes are all the way up, why was that so quiet?

Its disconnected from my bluetooth speaker now, and text tones are loud and normal like they have always been on this and every iPhone, but if I connect to my bluetooth speaker, text tones are very quiet, all other tones and notifications are loud

It may be treating the BT speaker as BT headphones. In particular, it may have an independent volume level for "headphones" vs. "builtin speaker".

Connect to the BT speaker, then adjust volume level.

My iPad mini on 18.6.2 has independent volume levels for headphone jack and builtin speaker. It's easily visible in the Control Center volume control. It's maxed out for builting speaker, but around 25% for headphone jack. I don't have any BT audio devices to check with.

Hi. My text tone sound is still coming out of my iPhone, not my Bluetooth speaker but the loudness of the text tone is greatly diminished if I’m connected to my Bluetooth speaker. The second I disconnect from the Bluetooth speaker or just shut Bluetooth off my text tone is loud again. All of my other notification sounds are not affected whether I am connected to Bluetooth speaker or not. They remain loud, just my text notification sounds are quieter.
