Hi! Anyone else experiencing total battery drain on standby with the latest OS?

I have an iPad Mini 6th Gen, and ever since upgrading to iOS 18.2.1, the battery dies in less than a day even if not used at all.

It’s charged to 100%, left completely unused with the folio case on, all apps up-to-date, and iCloud fully backed up—no background activity & even the battery usage does not report anything.

Already happened twice, with couple reboots in between just-in-case. Before is lasted a week if left forgotten..

This makes me uncomfortable with upgrading mine, or I would tell you. I'm still on 18.1.1 on my mini 6, and standby battery life has been fine. Not as good as what you said, but it does have a decent amount of background activity from messages and weather.

Ya same issue but on iphone the home and lock screen take up so much of the "battery" where has it never has on any other iOS version. Not sure what's going on with it.

Update: I upgraded to 18.2.1 last week and immediately saw better battery life, even running with a bad cellular connection for several hours. I don’t know why it varies so much for everyone.

I have not experienced battery issues with 18.2.1 on my mini 7, fwiw; maybe a bit more drain when I occasionally turn on Apple Intelligence.
